Instead, add carrier oil to dilute the essential oil. Once it has been diluted, then you can wash it off with soap and water.

If you have decided that you want to mix your own oils, then you need to do it correctly. Otherwise, you risk making the oil too strong. If you have decided to mix, follow the suggestion of two drops of essential oils to every 1-2 ounces of carrier oil.
